Successful Bobcat Behaviors:
Here is a list of behaviors from successful Bobcats
1
Read, and Read Often
Find a really great novel genre that you are in to and be sure to always have a novel handy. It'll help your reading comprehension and fluency, plus it will be something you WANT to read.
4
Write, and Write Often
Keep a journal, write a recipe, or send someone an olf-fashioned letter or card. It seems silly, but if you don't use it - you lose it! Texting only counts if you use proper grammar! ;)
2
Keep a Planner
It's easier for students to stay organized when they have a planner for important dates. Teachers will often give students calenders, but be sure to keep your own agenda as well so you can plan ahead. It's easier to manage both an academic and personal life with a planner.
5
Chat About Class
A great way to solidify information in your mind is to chat with others. Talk with others about a confusing concept, an awesome epiphany, or just reiterate main points said in class.
3
Come to Class
It seems obvious, but sometimes stress gets to us and we feel overwhelmed. The best way to get the reliable information you need, is to come to class. We all get stressed, but learn how to manage it. Try exercising or keeping a journal.
6
CHECK YOUR GRADES
Please be sure you understand your HAC or Home Access Center. This is where all of your grades are posted all 4 years of high school and is imperative you understand! Teachers cannot tell you every day what grade you are earning as we have 150+ students.
